So i got to spend the day in San Francisco with Kara. Love that city! Need to move my ass over there someday. Will have to add that to my list of things to do. Normally Kara and I visit the touristy shopping areas so this time we decided that we would treck out to the Fillmore district. It sounds easy enough, but we found that getting from the bart station to Fillmore street is quite the adventure. We ended up passing our first bus stop and so decided to wander around, finding that we were close to Haight street. We then walked around Haight. Rather hilarious that on Haight-Ashbury there is a Ben & Jerry's and a Gap. I bet that there are a bunch of hippies rolling around in their graves right about now.

Once we were done with the Haight experience, Kara and I searched down the next muni station and headed up to Fillmore street. Fillmore was a definite change of scenery after Haight. We wandered around botiques where one dress would have cost me an entire month's salary. Suffice to say we didn't buy anything. The Fillmore experience was validated after we found a gelato store and sat out on their patio people watching for almost an hour. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. After we recharged, we wandered around some more admiring the architecture and attitude of San Francisco. It's such a sophistacted and enjoyable town.

Unfortantley we had to head home and end out visit to San Francisco. We found out way back to the bart station after being sardines on the longest bus ride ever. the bus ride made me think of the competitions that people used to have in the 70's to see how many people that they could fit into a Volswagen beetle. perhaps my visit to Haight just put me into a 70's mindset. lol. Luckly Kara drove home so I was able to relax and mess with the muisc during the drive. I'm in Davis harassing Kara and her friends for the rest of the week. Getting myself used to life in a college town. :)
